Privacy Policy

NineStitch ("we", "us") is provided by Jacob M. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NineStitch you agree to this policy.

Information you provide

• Account: your email address and password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text).
• Your home: address, and property details such as year built, size, and type.
• Equipment: the appliances and systems you add — type, brand, model number, install date, your notes, and any photos you take of nameplates or equipment.
• Service pros (vendor accounts): business name, contact info, trades, hours, and business photos.

Information collected automatically

• Basic app usage and diagnostics needed to operate the service.
• A push-notification token (if you enable reminders) so we can send maintenance reminders.

How we use your information

• To build and maintain your personalized home-maintenance plan.
• To send the reminders you ask for.
• To connect you with local service professionals when you choose to contact them.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third parties to run NineStitch. We share only what each needs:

• Supabase — secure hosting, database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — to generate your maintenance plan, we send equipment details (type, brand, model). We do not send your name, address, or account email for this purpose.
• Google — address lookup and finding local service businesses.
• YouTube — to suggest relevant how-to videos for tasks.

When you choose to contact a service professional, we share the details needed to complete that request (such as your name, the job, and contact info you provide). We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & security

• We keep your information while your account is active.
• We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile → "Delete my account." This removes your home, equipment, tasks, and account record.

Children

NineStitch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete your home, equipment, and tasks in the app at any time.
• You can turn reminders on or off in Profile.
• You can request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date here.

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of NineStitch, provided by Jacob M. By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What NineStitch does

NineStitch helps you track home maintenance, generates suggested maintenance plans and instructions, sends reminders, and helps you find local service professionals.

Not professional advice

Maintenance suggestions, schedules, cost estimates, and step-by-step instructions are provided for general informational purposes and are generated in part by automated tools. They may be incomplete or not suited to your specific equipment. You are responsible for performing tasks safely. For work involving gas, electrical, refrigerant, structural, roof/height, or other safety-critical systems, consult a licensed professional. You perform any do-it-yourself work at your own risk.

Service professionals ("Pros")

Pros listed or found through NineStitch are independent third parties. We do not employ, endorse, guarantee, or supervise them, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a Pro. You are responsible for vetting any professional and for any work performed.

Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Don't misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or use it unlawfully.

Disclaimers

NineStitch is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation will prevent damage or loss.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacob M will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for property damage, injury, or costs arising from your use of the app, reliance on its suggestions, or work performed by you or a Pro.

Termination

You may stop using NineStitch and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
